Day 3 Wrap Up

Well folks thats it here from us at the D4 Events Short Handed Event 2012, 818 players in total taking to the felt to create a €400,000 prizepool and out of those 818 84 were going to walk away with a few €€€ for their efforts but the lions share went to Cyril Delaire as he walked away with €65,000.

The tittle has now finally been conquered from a French player but Irish player Mick Graydon tried to scupper those ideas as he was the sole remaining non French from about 20odd out but he eventually bowed out in 4th place. Big congratulations to all of those players who made it into the money.

It's been a long couple days here at this tournament but it was such a good structure it was always going to be, hustle & bustle in the room all week was a sight to behold as the madness descended on the Regency Hotel, some of the highlights for me was the French table quiz hadn't got a breeze with what was being said but it looked like mighty craic.

Would like to thank you all for tuning into the blog coverage it went well with nice comments from those who had tuned in, some lulls in places as we had to shoot off to do other bits and bobs so hopefully the videos we shot will be up online soon so you can all get a feel for what we did this week.

D4 Events will be back in February with the European Deepstack so go check out the D4events.com to find out the details for the upcoming events, still have a bit & bobs to do here but hopefully I make it to the bar for a pint or two. Until next time catch you all on the flipside.

Winner Winner

And we have a winner Cyril Delaire is the 2012 D4 Events Winamax Short Handed Event Champion as he has defeated Damien Llommeau in a heads up battle that only lasted a couple of hands.

Flop of 8c10h9c and the two players find themselves all in, Delarie held Jh9d vs the Js6s of Llommeau and as the board ran out 6c5c Delarie is the the new 6 max champion and €65,000 richer, while Damien Llommeau will walk away with €45,000 for his 2nd place finish, congratulations to both players.

Pics and wrap up to follow.

Going Home

With the elimination of Irish man Mick Graydon for the first time at this Winamax 6 Max event they will be taking the crown home to France with them as they will have a home grown winner.

Maxime Cohet - 3rd

Maxime Cohet is our 3rd place finisher he was all in preflop with Ac8c vs 10s10c he managed to flop a pair when the dealer spread a flop 5s8d3c but as the turn and river came 9d7c it was curtains for the French man.

3rd - Maxime Cohet - €31,500

It's Over Mick Graydon - 4th

The dream is over for the Irish as Mick Graydon has exited the event in 4th place, I catch the action on a flop of 5c4s6h as Graydon and Cyril Delaire are all in.

Graydon - 6s9h

Delaire - Kh3h

Graydon was out in front but had to fade a couple of outs but BAM on the turn as the dealer turned over the Kc & it wasn't happy faces as Graydon has now fell behind and as the river was revealed 3s it was off the to cash desk for the Irish man.

4th - Mick Graydon - €24,000

Level 30

Players have retaken their seats as we move into blinds of 40,000-80,000-10,000 average stack of 4,090,000 with 4 players remaining.
